Research interest: My research is focused on mild traumatic brain injuries, which unlike more severe cases of TBI, is difficult to detect and can consequently lead to serious long term deficits. The goal of my research is to establish an experimental model in order to relate the external inputs (motion of the head during impact/rotation) to the mechanical responses of the brain, resulting in the deformation of brain tissue and ultimately leading to injury.
