Overview and successes of the MEDE Program
Awarded in April of 2012, the Materials in Extreme Dynamic Environments (MEDE) collaborative research alliance is a ten-year, basic research program which has developed a materials by design process which has improved protection materials for armor applications. Research activities were performed jointly amongst academia, the DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory (ARL), and industry. This video highlights the tangible successes of the program.
