Composites CMRG

Composites CMRG

Consortium Lead: Prof. John Gillespie, Jr. (Univ. of Delaware)
ARL Lead: Dr. Daniel O’Brien

The Composites CMRG coordinates and oversees all research within the MEDE CRA on composites. The model material system for this group is S2 Glass Epoxy.

Experimental CTRG: The Composites Experimental CTRG focuses on advanced experimental techniques, advanced characterization techniques and in situ methods through both discovery experiments and integrative experiments on the model composite system.

Modeling CTRG: The Composites Modeling CTRG focuses on advanced multiscale modeling and simulation techniques as applied to the model composite system and its interfaces and architecture, as well as new approaches to bridging the scales, with an emphasis on the incorporation of mechanisms and the validation of the models at every scale.

Processing CTRG: The Composites Processing CTRG focuses on the design and execution of synthesis and processing routes for the model composite system.

Meetings

These meetings are open to all students, postdocs, PIs, and ARL collaborators from each of the composites tasks.

Remote Access: Please refer to JH Box for information on how to access CMRG meetings and for materials related to these meetings. If you do not have access to JH Box, please contact Katie Vaught at [email protected] to gain access.
