The MEDE 2016 FALL MEETING – OCTOBER 13-14, 2016
The Fall Meeting is a closed event. It is open only to the MEDE consortium members, ARL collaborators and special invitees. Dress code for the meeting is informal: jackets and ties are discouraged.
BELOW IS INFORMATION FOR THE 2016 FALL MEETING.
VENUE
This year’s meeting will take place on October 13th & 14th at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel. Rooms have been reserved at a special rate of $135 per night for MEDE 2016 Fall Meeting attendees. There is also a government rate of $98 for those who qualify. A valid government ID must be presented upon check-in. The deadline for the group rate is September 22, 2016.
Individual Call-In: Individual reservations are made by calling the hotel directly at 410-321-7400 or 1-888-627-7147. For individuals to receive the established Group rate, they must identify themselves as a MEDE Meeting Attendee or MEDE Meeting Government initially when making the reservation. All reservations must be received by the group’s cut-off date 9/22/16 and guaranteed with a credit card.

PARKING: For those who park in the hotel garage bring your parking ticket with you to be validated at the front desk for complimentary parking.

The MEDE 2016 Fall Meeting will include one and a half days of meetings and presentations, focusing on the collaboration of each material group.

REGISTRATION
Please use the following button to register for the meeting by October 5, 2015. Although the event is free, this will ensure that we have an accurate count for planning purposes.
THURSDAY EVENING CMRG DINNER INFORMATION:
We are planning separate hosted CMRG dinners on Thursday evening at area restaurants. The composites and polymers groups will be hosted together. More information will be posted in the coming weeks.
COST
Since this is a meeting, there is no registration fee. For members of the MEDE consortium members, meals/coffee breaks are included in this meeting. For government personnel, a voluntary fee will be collected for those who want to participate in the meals.
POSTER GUIDANCE – updated 9/24
MEDE-funded PIs (or their designated representative) are required to present a poster at the Fall Meeting. ARL personnel are encouraged to present a poster on their MEDE research. 2016 MEDE Fall Meeting Poster Guidance

Each poster needs to be registered on Eventbrite by only one contributor. To avoid duplication please coordinate with all authors prior to poster registration. The deadline to register is October 3, 2015.
If you have already registered for the Fall Meeting you can log in or sign up for an Eventbrite account to amend or add a poster to your current registration. Please note, if creating an Eventbrite account be sure to use the email address where your received your ticket.

TRAVEL
For those traveling by air, we recommend flying in to BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, which is approximately 28 miles to the hotel and meeting venue.
Shuttle, taxi and rental car options are readily available at BWI.
