Congratulations to Prof. Joelle Frechette, HEMI Fellow and associate professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, who was recently inducted into the American Chemical Society’s 2017 Class of Fellows. The ACS Fellows Program recognizes and honors members for outstanding achievement in and contributions to science, the profession, and the organization. Frechette was one of 65 members named as ACS Fellows this year.
She is recognized for her significant contributions in the measurement and manipulation of surface forces and adhesion to understand and design the behavior and properties of nanomaterials and soft matter. Her contributions to the ACS community have included serving as the chair of the Victor K. LaMer Award Committee for the Division of Colloid and Surface Chemistry as well as serving as the organizer and committee member for the Summer Symposium.
