Yesterday afternoon, HEMI was pleased to host a group of students participating in the Junior Science and Humanities Symposia (JSHS). The National JSHS brings together 230 high school students who qualify for attendance by submitting and presenting original scientific research papers in regional symposia held at universities nationwide. Students who visited JHU had the opportunity to tour HEMI facilities, walk around the JHU campus and interact with the HEMI/MICA Extreme Arts Exhibition.

We thoroughly enjoyed showing these exceptional students what HEMI has to offer and hope they enjoy the rest of their time in Baltimore!

The Junior Science and Humanities Symposia (JSHS) Program is a tri-service – U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force – sponsored STEM competition which promotes original research and experimentation in the sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) at the high school level and publicly recognizes students for outstanding achievement.
