We are pleased to announce that HEMI faculty member Sung Hoon Kang, Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, has been selected to participate in the National Academy of Engineering’s 2016 US Frontiers of Engineering Symposium.

The event brings a select group of emerging engineering leaders from industry, academe, and government labs together to discuss pioneering technical work and leading edge research in various engineering fields and industry sectors. The goal of the meetings (held over 2-1/2 days) is to introduce outstanding engineers who are early in their career to each other, with the goal of facilitating collaboration in engineering, the transfer of new techniques and approaches across fields, and the establishment of contacts among the next generation of engineering leaders.

The National Academy of Engineering’s 2016 US Frontiers of Engineering Symposium will be held September 19-21 in Irvine, CA. Click here for more information on the event.
